BLOOMER PINES-Evansville Bowl scored two runs in the sixth to break a 6-6 tie to defeat Kewaunee Miller Genuine Draft 8-6 in the finals of the Wisconsin NAFA State Tournament.  For manager Jay Hrdlicka's club, it was their fourth state title.  They won titles in 1994, 1995, 1997, and were runner up last year.  They have won 15 of the last 17 games they have played in state tournament play.

For pitcher Bryan Lathrop, the championship game marked his sixth win in the tournament, smashing the old record, shared by three other pitchers, who had four.  Lathrop has a 13-0 record in 1999 NAFA championship play, including travel league.
